No Judgement!
August 6, 2020

Judging a person does not define who they are.

It defines who you are.

Sometimes what a person needs is not a brilliant mind that speaks,

but the patience of one who listens,

Experience can never be bought.

Knowledge stays with you forever.

Is over the top media reporting and making a more negative you?
June 2, 2020

Well the short answeris yes! Evidence supports that news has a direct impact on ourmental health. As if we aren’t already suffering enough during lockdown! Reading, watching or listening to negative news will make us all sadder and more anxiousthan if we spent our time focusing on neutral or positive stories!

Do you ever find yourself wondering what happened to a mediawhere the value of quality and ethics were essential to any news story, where factsand reality were checked in order to remain a trusted source of information?

So, have the media ‘gone over the top’?  You decide. Add fake news to the mix andsuddenly we’re not only fighting a pandemic we’re fighting an infodemic! With storiesrife with speculation and fear-inducing vocabulary, the media controlsthe narrative, instead of being part of the solution they chose to fan thefires of negativity,  Instead focusing onpromoting the more sensationalists aspects of any news event, sending audiencesrushing to make sense of it all.

We turn to search engines and social media, in order to seekthe truth, where only a fraction of the information might be reliable, a lot ofit won’t be, all orchestrated by bad actors manipulating the TV, radio andsocial media for economic gain!

So, what’s the solution? If you can, find and stick toreliable and credible news outlets, and if you’re tempted to share a dramaticsnippet of news that just appeared in your social media feed, don’t!  Or simply take control of your own narrative, switch it all off and go and do something way less boring instead, you’ll feelbetter that you’re not part of the worlds media circus by gently slowing thepromotion of over-the-top reporting, which is really just another kind of virusitself!

Ignore your critics…
May 21, 2019

Go on admitit you love receiving the odd compliment or three, but I bet you actually rememberany criticisms you may have received much more easily.

Well, beingaware of your challenges is important, however what it doesn’t do is helpimprove your performance. Instead criticism makes us retreat, put up defensesnot to mention corrode our confidence.

So how dowe deal with this? Make sure you always understand and capitalise on yourstrengths.

The result,by focusing on your strengths, you are likely to be far more engaged in yourjob and more likely to enjoy a better quality of life than those around you,who let those criticisms become stronger negatives, than the positives, whichare so much more rewarding.

So neverforget celebrating your strengths!

Is social media the changing face of advertising and sales?
May 9, 2019

What does social media mean to you? Any of you or all of you? User's, audience or brands?

Somebelieve that social media is merely the paid for opinion of children…

Withover 20 million accounts appearing across a platform that promotes any kind ofimage, kids’ opinions or not, with followers over 100 million it’s a prettytough act for traditional advertising to follow!

Oneit can’t even dream of getting close with that kind of audience via thetraditional routes!

Havingas little as a 20k following means you’ll make money off your feed and with a100k following you’re earning a living so; it’s no wonder social media is solucrative on so many levels!

Itssales pure and simple.

Andwhilst some may say its possibly seen its day, we say keep it cute or keep itmute. Social media is all about selling consistency, and with consistency comessales!

Money, money, money…. in a start-up world!
April 29, 2019

Thereare many difficult factors in running a real business your own real business butfar and away one of the most stressful aspect is the money. Quite honestly whenthe shine of the initial stages of funding wear off well quite simply there isoften never enough money!

Everysingle month you have to find rent for the office and wages to name the veryleast and for reasons beyond your wildest imagination there are always thoseclients who keep expecting you to do them a little favour here and there whichin reality translates to do it for free or at least before they’ve settledtheir current outstanding invoice which is already standing at somewherebetween 45 and 60 days overdue! I mean do you walk into your fav shop orgrocery store and pick up stuff flash the cashier a dazzling smile with a vaguepromise to get her the money within 30 days? no of course not.

Runningyour own business, literally there are times when you will throw your hands upin despair and it will seem like it makes no sense and don’t even get startedon the tax and vat man!

But you will succeed, just remember, don’t give up and don’tgive in! Do the time and the money will start to flow in!

Hanging on the telephone….
April 25, 2019

Do you jump everytime your landline rings and struggle to find the phone, after all who usestheir landline?

Who remembers payphones? You know those tell-tale rectangular red boxes which were the mostcommon in a pre-digital age, which were once positioned frequently acrosscities and towns and even local neighbourhoods for your calling convenience andnow stand in some scrap yard decommissioned and forgotten!

How quickly they havebecome a thing of the past and if UK providers move with the times, landlinephones will soon join pay phones in the technology graveyard.

Also, when was thelast time you memorised anyone’s telephone numbers? It's probably been a while, maybe even years! As more and more people look up names in their contacts noteven focusing on the numbers!

Phoneusage hasn’t just changed how domestic calls are made, even businesses haveditched their wires for more economical options, using WiFi and VoIP (voice over Internet protocol).

It’snot just a case of people saving money, it’s far simpler than that, love it orloathe it, we’ve all embraced the new communication technologies and will continueto do so with every software and hardware upgrade!

So,despite more options than ever to ‘keep in touch,’ the downside is we actuallytalk less! Who knows… perhaps one day we won’t need to talk at all, and what asad day that will be.

A saint and a dragon!
April 23, 2019

Happy St George’s day! Today is the one day of the year, apart from major football and rugby tournaments, when you are guaranteed to see English flags flying proudly across the country.

St George is most famously forever consigned to legend, as being the soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess! We’re not sure how many dragons will be slain today but in the words of another famous George (Bernard Shaw) "People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it”.

Happy St George’s day and do watchout for those dragons!

No one likes the blame game!
April 3, 2019

How often have you been tempted to blame someone orsomething else for a mistake you’ve made?

At some point, we’ve all done it… even if it’s just a teenyweeny little white lie! However, the bottom line is the truth will always comeout. So, no matter how bad a situation is, be bold, be brave and above all beresponsible for the bad stuff that happens to you!

After all, we never hesitate to be responsible for the goodthings that happen to us, nor do we hesitate to shout from the rooftops “heylook at me, look how successful I am!”

Everyone’s a loser in the blame game so don’t play it,instead always strive to be responsible, to be accountable and work be incomplete control of your life.

Trust us, you’ll feel great.

No one can rain on your #StPatricksDay Parade!
March 15, 2019

Did you know thatSt Patricks day is the one national holiday thatis celebrated in more countries around the world than any other? Unfortunately,it’s not a public holiday in England, although perhaps it should be! Thisweekend many cities will be enjoying their St Patrick’s Day celebrations markedby lots of fun and spectacular events so it’s no wonder that St Patrick isone of the most popular saints!

Thisweekend whether your searching for that green Shamrock shirt, scanning socialmedia or (easy) Corned Beef recipes or picking up a little whiskey or thatother famous Irish drink here’s some funfacts to get the part started!

*
  • The first St.Patrick’s Day celebration in the United States was held in Boston (1737).
*
  • Did you know that theoriginal St Patrick’s Day colour was blue? It’sbelieved that the it was changed to green because of Ireland’s nickname “TheEmerald Isle,” and of course the green in the Irish flag along with theshamrock, or clover.
*
  • Back in 1962 markedthe first time Chicago dyed their river green for St Patrick’s Day, thistradition has continued as Chicago still dyes the river green for a few days!
*
  • Shamrocks are thenational flower/emblem of Ireland.
*
  • Legend says that eachleaf of the clover has a meaning: Hope, Faith, Love and Luck. Sadly, the oddsof you finding a four-leaf clover are about 1 in 10,000, so you’ll need some ofthat Irish good luck!
*
  • The world’s shortestSt. Patrick’s Day parade is held in an Irish village. It lasts only 100 yards, between the village’s two pubs.

And with Ireland playing in the sixnations against Wales on Saturday, this years’ St Patricks day may just be thebest yet!

Happy St Patricks Day everyone!

Why email when you can talk?
March 13, 2019

We love emails as much asthe next person, they are great for communicating on the spot about, well, justabout anything and everything! Also, what’s really great is you get to tick offyour ‘to do’ list instantly without having to do more than type and press sendand wait for a response all while getting on with other business!

However, have youconsidered how much we lose through this transaction? Recently, there has beena lot of debate about why people are reluctant to pick up the phone andactually speak to people – technology has made it so easy to type not talk! Butwhat if you do pick up the phone and talk to people, what’s the worst thingthat can happen? That you have a difficult conversation that doesn’t go yourway?

Turn that around and let’sask ourselves what’s the best thing that can happen? A friendly conversationcan achieve remarkable things!

Emails might save time but what’sthe true cost? Remember… It’s good to talk!

Just one more Label, but which one is the most irritating of all?
March 7, 2019

Like me I’m sure you love using the odd buzzword, or maybe a lot! But they are soooo yesterday! To be on trend you’ve got have a label!

Lots of postsrecently have been asking what ‘label’ is the most irritating. There seemed tobe quite a few! Like thought leader (who is just an expert in their field), visionaryor innovator which, is a wildly overused description for, well just aboutanything!

Let’s face it there’s a lot of labels out there, they pop up quicker than a new stealth tax!

One of the most irritating is ‘digital migrant’, (although prefixing anything with digital is annoying as digital is pretty standard stuff these days), which is basically anyone who wasn’t born using a smartphone or tablet before they learnt to talk (and lets face it some still haven’t 🤔 😉 😆!).

So, who’s toblame? Millennials, of course! (and why not, we blame them for most things!)

X Gens (catchingup and learning on the go!) don’t get off lightly though, er ….#Snowflake!

So, next timeyou’re stuck, don’t try and figure it out, instead when in doubt create alabel! and in doing so, it will automatically legitimise anything andeverything we don’t understand.

Job done!

Call yourself an Expert?
March 4, 2019

Evenbeen given the advice, you need an expert? Because experts are experts!

Butis there more to these people who get paid a lot of money for acting andtalking as if they know all the answers?

Everstopped to consider they are experts because they play it safe and if so why? Wellthat’s easy because they have a lot to lose if they don't play it safe!

Expertsstick closely to the rules and offer advice that probably won't get them intotoo much hot water if it all goes to pot! However, an expert will oftenoverlook the obvious, or they dismiss it as unworkable, they dismiss ideas thatcould be successful with just a little experimentation and improvisation.

Practice! No one becomes an expert at anythingovernight; it takes time. So, don’t be afraid to stumble and even fail!  Next time you thinkyou need an expert, take 5 and ask yourself whose more of an expert? You mayjust surprise yourself!

2 Months Down… Almost.
February 25, 2019

So, #MondayMotivation has got us thinking aboutFebruary drawing to a close with only 4 working days remaining including today.

Are you where you want to be?

By this, we don’t mean sitting in a beer garden asappose to sitting in the office. Everyone knows the sunshine is beaming formost of the UK and we are pleasantly surprised. We mean, are you where you wantto be in relation to the goals and targets you set yourself for 2019?

If not, then it isn’t all over! We can always call Januaryand February ‘trial’ months and start again as of now.

You should never need a new week, new month, new quarter ornew year to adjust and set ourselves goals however, so many of us seem to wait for Monday or holdon until the start of the new month.

It can take something as simple as one phone call tochange the way things are heading. It can shift your entire month and put youback on track, or even ahead of the game!

Our advice… keep going! Make every hour, every day and thusevery week count! Don’t wait for Mondays… don’t wait for March. Keep going!

You’ll thank yourself.

Can’t Work, Won’t Work
February 20, 2019

How many times have you heard the below statements?

  • I can’t do it
  • It can’t be done
  • It wont work

Having this type of defeatist attitude means you havealready lost! It will also, most likely stop you from doing what ever it is youare trying to do!

It is very simple… if you believe you can do something, youare probably most of the way there.

Let’s look at this from a sales perspective. If you pick upthe phone thinking you will get the sale, you have much more chance of actuallygetting the sale.

So, in future let’s not say ‘can’t’ use ‘can’ instead…

When is a job Ad a good job Ad?
February 15, 2019

When it’s so good even the talent manager doesn’t know what he’s recruiting for!

Everybody knows looking for a job is afull-time job and if you’re in a job it’s much easier to get another job – oris it?

Reading through jobs ads these days I feel like most companies are recruiting for Rocket Scientists!

Steeped in Jargon and acronyms it’s becoming more and more like one needs a degree in forensic analysis too understand a growing percentage of job ads.

Ah, I hear you say, if you don’t understand the job then clearly it isn’t for you – I would agree with you normally, but these jobs seem to focus more on how often you won’t have to work and the list of benefits like free fruit – drinks on Fridays and plenty of social events! So how hard can they be? One thing for sure it’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell….

When did newspapers stop reporting news?
February 13, 2019

Fake news orjust tabloid fodder, reporting at best on D-list celebrities, just when did thequality of British newspapers become so dire? I know many of you are thinkingwhen did they ever report decent news full stop?  Gone are the days when Sunday mornings begunby a slow read through the broadsheets – mainly, due to print cutting coststhey now resemble every other red top or gossip pushing comic! And if you fancybrowsing online, you have to subscribe! Perhaps that’s where editors are hiding all the good news.

I read a goodcross section of newspapers the other day, with some small hope of actuallygetting to grip with what’s really happening in the world – unrealistic I know!

So where dowe go for the truth? Perhaps Mars?

Show a little pride!
January 31, 2019

What ever job you do, it should be done with pride!

Everyone has a purpose; every job has a purpose.

No matter how menial you may think it is, it really isn’t.

In today’s World to many people don’t take those extra steps to ensure things are done correctly, and frankly there should be no reason why the hell not!

Is it instilled in us from our childhood or are we just born with it, I wonder, although with enough training things can change?

However, the facts remain that if we take enough pride in ourselves then we tend to take pride in other things we do.

Show a little pride!

Bouncing Back!
January 29, 2019

If you have a bad sales call, what do you do to bounce back?

Do you simply just pick up the phone and make another?

Or, do you make a few minor changes before making the next?

There are many ways to do this, although no set formula…

It really boils down to you and your mind set, so let’s investigate what makes this process a little easier!

  1. Maybe go back to basics and stand up whilst being on the phone, it is a known fact that whilst standing up your lungs are more open, therefore making you sound more confident.
  2. Smiling is a massive attribute to how you sound on the phone, if you smile it can be heard on the other end.
  3. Before you pick up the phone, assume you will get the sale, and this will have a massive impact on the outcome.
  4. Have an objective to achieve as without this you won’t know where to take it.
  5. Finally ask for the business as the worst that could happen is you are told no!

It is all about bouncing back as eventually someone will say yes….

If you do, then have you fallen for the trap they want you to fall into?

I mean they write what they want and make it up, then claim it’s true without any facts and it is perceived to be the truth.

It is like a company saying they are the World’s fastest growing business of its kind!

Really, well I suppose they could be, however how many times do you hear the same old stories…

It would be nice if the media published something original for once.

Or, maybe they should get some new columnists to write something different for a change.

Quality or Quantity?
January 21, 2019

This is a vast subject that many will say it is surely quality over quantity, however the fact remains that in order to find the quality, it is a numbers game.

They do say, ‘’if you throw enough mud at the wall something will stick?’

It is at that point you have the opportunity to find those gems!

So, as much as I’m all for quality, you need to implement to you day to day role a little bit of quantity.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this topic…

What is it that makes a good closer?
January 16, 2019

Is it the fact that you have simply closed the sale?

Or, is it making sure you have a future client on board forever?

Nowadays too many sales professionals don’t see the bigger picture and just think of the short-term target ahead, so much to the point that they can miss what the future holds…

Do we put this down to the sales person on the phone or the training they have received I wonder?

We can investigate what makes a good ‘closer’ although it is really what comes after it and the relationship you have with the client and for how long…

Business as Usual
January 9, 2019

This #humpday has got us thinking about how long it takes to get back into the swing of things in an office environment.

Is it business as usual already? Or are most of your team still eating leftover Christmas selection boxes and talking about what they found under their trees?

We can only speak for ourselves and we are somewhat pleased to find that the festivities seem to be a distant memory! It is all systems go here, with January notoriously being a busy month in recruitment when many individuals go back to the office after time spent at home and realise, they hate their jobs… or their team… or their manager!

We want to know, are you full of the New Year positivity and can-do attitude? Have you got a shiny new notepad proudly displayed on your tidy desk which hosts all of your 2019 goals?

If the answer is no, and you happen to be surrounded by sweet wrappers attempting not to make eye contact with any of your colleagues and fantasising about what a new role could look like for you then perhaps give us a call.

We have many opportunities both near and far which offer amazing earning potential and unrivalled career satisfaction with reputable companies. Therefore, much like crispy goose-fat roast potatoes on your Christmas dinner, they won’t hang around for long!

Top Tips for a Flying Start!
December 21, 2018

The final working week before Christmas has got us thinking about a few tips we can share with you in order to get your 2019 off to a successful start!

  1. If you are fortunate enough to have some time to yourself over the holidays, be sure to use some of this to really think about what your goals are going to be and don’t forget to write them down! Supposedly, writing down your goals means you are more likely to achieve them!
  2. Before you leave the office and 2018 behind, make sure to have a clear out! Tidy desks equal tidy minds, or so they say. Either way, it won’t be pleasant to arrive back to work in a fresh year with a not so fresh desk! Wipe the dust away and throw away the old disposable coffee cups!
  3. Clear the to-do-list! This is an obvious tip however, it is an important one. None of us will enjoy leaving work and remembering over our Christmas dinner that we had forgotten to respond to that ever so important email! Anything that cannot be done until the New Year, add it to a 2019 fresh list!
  4. Stay connected over Christmas. Some people will already do this, and some won’t be able to think of anything worse! However, it only takes a few minutes to log onto your emails and make sure there isn’t anything too disastrous going on in the mail box or checking your professional networking site to make sure you are responding to all the invites to connect!

The list could go on and on, but we thought these are some simple yet effective tips that everyone can use. If your flying start requires something more such as a change of roles, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Go Hard or Go Home…
December 14, 2018

As we approach the last working day of the week… we want to know whether you have the mindset of ‘Go Hard’ or ‘Go Home.’

Do we see Friday as an important day of the week? Unless you officially work weekends, then Friday is the last opportunity to get everything completed and drive in any last-minute deals before prospects go cold over the weekend. Notoriously, Friday can be a great day to sell as people tend to be in good spirits and more willing to spend a few minutes chatting to you.

However, many professionals see Friday as a clock-watching day. They are there in body but not in spirit and they are hoping to make it through to an early finish with little effort whilst hoping they aren’t being noticed!

Which one are you?

We all love an early finish incentive and the elongated chats over the coffee machine about weekend plans however, we believe Friday should still be a productive day.

Let’s leave the week on a high! This ensures we all feel deserving of a brilliant weekend and a hard-earned rest but, most importantly, it guarantees the positive feeling carries over to Monday and we all know what a good Monday equals… a good week!

Calling All Cold Callers…
December 5, 2018

Wednesday is here again and today, we are discussing the sometimes-dreaded term ‘Cold Callers.’

Lately, we have noticed a rise in this topic being discussed on various networking sites with many professionals making a compelling case both for and against cold calling.

Is it now a thing of the past?

With so many more means of communication nowadays than past times, does picking up the phone and taking such a direct response come across as abrupt and unnecessary?

Many professionals will say it does! However, in the sales industry especially, this is still a key part of the way businesses are run.

Should we all stop wasting time on emails?

Emails are great to follow up on conversations and to put something in writing, but this could be considered a waste of time unless you really know whether your services are needed. Even us as a business receive several unsolicited emails offering products and services that are completely irrelevant to us!

Surely, it would have been much more efficient and productive to pick up the phone and spend very little time to quickly establish whether your prospect needs something you offer?

We want to know your thoughts! Please comment and share your ideas with us.

How Flexible Are You?
November 21, 2018

Now, we don’t mean physically! Although, if anyone is tremendously flexible and wants to share their weird and wonderful moves with us all then please feel free…

We are talking about whilst you are Job Searching.

Everyone knows that things change rapidly, even on an average working day in an office. Sometimes, vital team members are off sick unexpectedly. Sometimes, the sales team are having an immense day and the deals are flocking in putting more pressure on support staff and managers. Sometimes, mis-communication (shock, horror!) has meant that the team leader is double booked.

Therefore, when things change such as interview times/days… is it up to us to be more flexible?

If you are looking for a new role and have been presented with an opportunity that ticks all the boxes then surely, only being available to meet with a manager at 1pm on the third Thursday of each month isn’t very accommodating!

We aren’t suggesting that you should always be free and of course, some candidates are still employed however, it doesn’t take much to become more flexible.

For example, booking a couple of days annual leave would allow you the time you need to see as many prospective employers as possible along with starting late or finishing early one day (everyone has dentist check-ups now and again, right?)

Open All Year Round!
November 6, 2018

On your chilly commute into work, if you are listening closely, you will be able to hear the familiar tones of Jingle Bells and the new, heart-warming adverts from well-known department stores and supermarkets. Yep! You guessed it…

The festive season has more or less arrived.

We deal with a multitude of different businesses in different industries and sectors on a daily basis who all come in different shapes and sizes. Over the last couple of weeks, there was one particular topic which seemed to have huge variation amongst them all.

To shut up shop over Christmas or stay open all year round.

Most of our clients seem to be doing one of three things which are either staying open throughout the entire festive period (pretending it isn’t happening? Clever!), closing down by Christmas Eve and not returning until the New Year (a good way for everyone to have a break but this spurs the debate as to whether or not staff should use annual leave allowances for this, which is another blog for another day!) or… closing completely!

Surely, closing completely over Christmas is a thing of the past nowadays?

Most businesses are fortunate enough to be able to continue trading throughout December and into the New Year with minimal downtime so should this not be the answer?

We are keen to hear from everyone to know what your thoughts are on this subject! Please like, share and comment with your intentions this year and don’t forget to tell us why you choose to do what you do!

We look forward to hearing from you all and Merry Christmas! (Sorry… too soon?!)

November 2, 2018

No matter how hard you try to find those well-rounded sales professionals, the fact remains that there is nothing like a bit of fresh blood.

#MondayMotivation has got us pondering on how to keep the tempo up when it seems winter has well and truly arrived!

The clocks have gone back an hour this weekend so although it isn’t so dark in the mornings, most of us still will have had the joyous task of scraping ice from our windscreens (and losing the feeling in our fingers as a result!)

However, when it is single figure temperatures outside, the office can have a certain lure with the promise of hot freshly-brewed coffee and the heating on full-blast!

Respect for Recruitment Consultants!
October 19, 2018

Do you need companies or do companies need you?

Let’s face it… the product in recruitment is the candidate. Therefore, if you have a strong enough talent pool, it should be that companies need you!

So why do we as recruitment companies let clients dictate to us?

The first thing that always comes up is, ‘your fees are too high?’

If this is the case then let the client go, there will always be another!

Secondly, if the company treats you like a service provider and nothing more… you probably need to find other clients as you are the recruitment arm for each company you represent.

Finally, stick to your terms as I can guarantee you the companies you deal with will not be flexible if the shoe was on the other foot!

I would be interested to hear thoughts from other recruitment consultants out there…

Half Way Point…
October 15, 2018

Today marks pretty much halfway through October, time really does flies when you’re having fun!

How many of you take 5 minutes at this stage to sit down and review where you are against your sales targets? Or, even your personal goals that you may have set yourself for the month?

Most top performers tend to check their performance against targets daily however, this still tends to be something that, surprisingly, not a lot of sales professionals do.

It is imperative in this game to not let the days, weeks and month run away with you. When you are caught up in the sometimes long hours and the buzz of a busy office, it is easy to assume you are where you need to be and that your targets will meet themselves.

However, we have a duty to ourselves to check where we are currently, where we want to be and how we are going to get there!

We want to know how many of you already do this and which top tips you can share?

#ThursdayThoughts has got us pondering on the idea of going sober for October, and what sort of benefits being alcohol-free will offer you.

We are aware that most people believe that their jobs or the industry they work in can be highly stressful however, we all know the rollercoaster of sales can be a ride that occasionally drives us to pick up a glass of pinot!

So, would reaching for a T without the G help us to be more productive and therefore, more successful?

Some of the main benefits featured on www.gosober.org.uk are as follows…

  1. Increased energy levels
  2. No more horrid hangovers
  3. Feeling generally healthier
  4. Clearer skin
  5. Healthier looking bank-balance

We would like to know your thoughts on whether you believe going sober for October is beneficial and will aid your work performance or if you think a swift half at lunchtime gives you the spring in your step you need to conquer the afternoon. 5 General Sales Tips!
October 3, 2018

You can never forget the very basics of telesales! However, we sometimes get too comfortable in a job whereby we forget the fundamentals of how we got there in the first place!

So, let’s look at the very basics which generally, we should use on a day to day basis.

  1. Always believe you will get a result before you even pick up the phone! I mean let’s face it, if you don’t then how are you supposed to close the sale?
  2. Know your product or service as this will only give you credibility.
  3. Look at things from your customers point of view, put on their shoes.
  4. There is a rule I follow, which I call 25/5. This means out of 30 minutes your customer should be talking for 25 and you for about 5, this means you are letting them speak about themselves… which everybody loves to do.
  5. Make sure you ask for the business, what’s the worst that can happen? You get told NO!

There are so many more things that can be added to this and is a subject that is never ending however, from a general point of view it works.

What sales tips work for you well rounded sales professionals out there…

Thanks, But No Thanks!
October 1, 2018

#MondayMotivation has got us thinking today about the power of saying thanks, but no thanks! This is a topic that often comes up when people get busy or just generally tired of listening to other people’s drivel!

Is it acceptable to tell people no… without an excuse or explanation?

We think it is and here’s why…

People can be draining! We all have or have had needy friends, colleagues and sometimes even family members. These ‘mood hoovers’ as we like to call them, often feel better once they have offloaded their misery and misfortune onto you. They pretend to be seeking advice although really, they are looking for a sponge to soak up their negativity which they hope will lighten their load. However, they forget that this only adds to your load and frantic lifestyle!

Let’s take pride and positivity from saying no!

‘No, I won’t call you later, so you can rant to me.’ ‘No, I won’t leave work early to be a shoulder for you to cry on when I am building an empire.’ ‘No, I don’t have enough energy for any pessimist that wants to take up space in my thoughts.’ ‘No, no, no!’

We want to know how many others out there have experienced the same and will therefore, be joining us on the train that is refusing to stop at any destinations that do not enrich our own lives…

Work Hard, Play Harder or Play Hard, Work Harder?
September 28, 2018

This is something that many sales professionals seem to do, which is normally the driving force behind their success!

Everyone has some form of vice, this is something that effectively involves a blow out of some sort.

It is typical for a salesman to earn £5,000 per month and spend £7,000 or even more, this is not the recommended way as there does come a point where you will ultimately burn out, having said that from a Sales Manager point of view, it can be a dream if they get to work when they need to be there….

So, do you Play Hard and Work Harder or Work Hard and Play Harder?

The C Word…
September 25, 2018

Today marks the last Monday of Quarter 3 and although that could be a blog in itself, with 2018 going by so swiftly, it got us thinking about the dreaded ‘C’ word… Christmas!

There is now only 13 more Monday’s until Christmas. Yes, 13! How did that happen?

2019 will be gracing us with its presence sooner than we think so, we wanted to know from you, are you speeding up or slowing down?

It goes without saying that here at Zest 2 Rec HQ we are ramping up the pace and making provisions to ensure we end this year on a high however, not everyone feels the same! We have already heard the age-old excuses about things starting to ‘slow down’ with Christmas approaching and so on.

We want to know how many of you are excited to hear Christmas songs on the radio, drink hot chocolate in the office and not make those essential calls because… well… ‘it’s almost Christmas!’

Or, are you ignoring any hint of the festivities and putting the pedal to the metal to ensure the partying and indulging is all truly deserved?

We don’t take pleasure in sounding like the Grinch although, we do admit to ignoring Jesus’ birthday until absolutely necessary. Let’s face it, the best way to pretend Christmas isn’t happening is to stay in the office away from Supermarket displays of Quality Street and keep picking up the phone to avoid Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas on the radio!

If you raise your standards by even a small percentage the results should be tenfold.

It is quite simple, come in a push that little bit harder, remember you are only as good as your last sales, and surely the more experience you have the higher your game can be raised.

Tidy Desk, Tidy Mind!
September 10, 2018

#MondayMotivation has got us thinking at Zest 2 Recruitment… does having a tidy desk equal a tidy mind?

Quite simply, we believe it does.

However, upon looking into some research about the topic, we can see there is a clear divide as to whether the clutter is constructive, or the dust is destructive!

We have put our thoughts together and listed below some of the main reasons we believe that keeping your workspace clean, is something we should all be doing…

  1. First Impressions – We all know that you never get a second chance to make a first impression, so we should all make sure that whenever the unexpected happens, and a client visits your office, or the dreaded management make an appearance, at least our desks look in order (even if we don’t!)
  2. More Efficiency – How can we work to optimum efficiency if we can’t see our keyboards under paperwork? This one goes without saying really, if everything is in order then it should be easier to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  3. Hot Desking – This is a situation that actually occurred here at HQ recently. A remote member of staff decided to come into the office and work for a few days, this timed in with someone else who was absent so naturally, they were offered their desk. Having to clean the desk in question before using it, probably wasn’t high on their agenda for that day!
  4. Health – Not much to add to this other than, breathing in dust and crumbs all day cannot be good for our health. Not to mention the germs on computer equipment. (Yuck!)
  5. Security – This may not apply to all industries and we are aware that most companies should now be paperless however, leaving sensitive documents all over the place can be detrimental and with the new GDPR rules, we shouldn’t be seeing names and numbers on post-its!

Please let us know if you think there is any other pressing points that make the case for cleaning our desks! You can get us on www.zest2recruitment.com or please feel free to leave a comment on LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter.

Recruiting!
August 13, 2018

Recruiting the right member of staff can be stressful and time consuming. Plus, it could possibly make or break your business to some degree. Therefore, how do we make the right choice?1. First and foremost, do not rush to employ fresh staff under any circumstances. It can feel like time is of the essence however, rushing into a decision only backfires in the end.2. Are you certain the person you are employing has commitment to their career? Its not beneficial to employ someone who doesn’t really see your opportunity as the next step in their career but rather a means to an end of job searching!3. You must question the member of staff for their learning and analytical skills, are they willing to face new challenges and tackle them? If this is crunch time in your business and you are looking for someone to help push goals forward, then they must be prepared for challenges along the way!4. Is your new member staff the right cultural fit for your business? We all know of people could be toxic to your business as well as other members of staff. It isn’t always a bad thing to want to shake things up now and again however, one new member of staff who is yet to prove themselves is not always worth unsettling an entire team.5. As a business owner or hiring manager, what sort of hiring processes are in place when recruiting? You need to make sure that your processes are consistent and clear to ensure that all applicants have the same opportunity to showcase themselves. You could speak to someone over the phone who seems fantastic but upon meeting them, change your mind!6. Interact with new recruits in order to get to know them better, this is also key in business. Remember, it's not always about the work behind the desk. By treating them to an office day out for example, you get to see a side to people that may be masked in a working environment. So, calling all the business owners and hiring managers, how do you deal with new recruits? Larry The Liar
August 7, 2018

#TuesdayThoughts has got us pondering on the common misconception of Sales Professionals either embellishing the truth or outright lying to convince their prospects to seal the deal.

Bending the truth is usually a disastrous approach to take considering that it rules out firstly, any trust and rapport built between the company and client which is vital for continuing a growing business relationship and therefore, the opportunity of future deals. Once bitten, twice shy and all that!

Secondly, the sheer power of recommendations is not to be underestimated and telling porky pies to a prospect is pretty much giving yourself a guarantee that they are not going to recommend you, your service or your product to anyone else they know. An interesting analysis on this is that customers who have a bad experience are two to three times more likely to tell people and/or leave a negative review than customers who had a pleasant experience are.

Finally, this point, which links into both the above… Social Media. In our modern world, Social Media is a huge snake and ladder within a business. People nowadays do expect to be able to access company information, testimonials, contact details etc all via their preferred platform so it is important that businesses have these platforms published. However, bad news travels fast! It always has done but now it can reach speeds of 100MB per second if it is passed to the internet realm and shared through Social Media! When people are unhappy, they like to go into detail too so don’t be surprised if you are ‘named and shamed’ or branded Larry The Liar!

If you have worked with a Larry previously (or still are!) then we would love to know some of the most humorous, strange and utterly ridiculous fibs you may have heard them use when trying to close a deal! Please share with us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. No naming and shaming will take place… promise!

So, before we turn our computers off and shut the office for the weekend, let’s recap what you have achieved so far.

  1. For this week have you met your sales target?
  2. From a new business point of view, how many clients have you won?
  3. Do you feel you have given your clients the best quality service?
  4. Have you have superseded your own expectations?

if you have said yes to these questions or at least most of them, you are in for a treat. It turns out today 3rd August is international beer day, so why not treating yourself to a pint or two.

However, if you have said no to them, perhaps it’s time for a change?

There are times in our lives we will almost certainly feel stressed, this could be due to personal or work-related matters. But the main question remains, how does one can overcome stress? So, take a deep breath and follow these steps:

  1. Be honest with yourself and know your limitations.
  2. Drink more water, simply lay of anything else.
  3. Exercise regularly, you have no excuse.
  4. Spend time with your family, hanging around with friends in pub doesn’t help.
  5. Train yourself to read books as libraries could your best friend.
  6. Take time to make other happy as in turn they will do the same.
  7. Don’t be negative about life as there will always be a solution.

Things are hotting up!
July 23, 2018

The topic today on everyone’s lips has got to be the UK being set for a heatwave! Things are hotting up by all accounts and we are due to see some of the warmest days so far this year with temperatures set to reach the 30’s.Every newspaper seems to have heatwave headlines and advice along the lines of staying indoors and avoiding the sun etc. So, although a controversial opinion, is being in the office the best place to be this week? Most businesses will have air-conditioning as well as cold beverages (we mean water!) on offer, and with warnings issued due to the heat, perhaps your client and prospects will swerve the summer holiday madness at beaches and such like in favour for the cool and calm office. You may find you are able to get hold of more clients as everyone is escaping the sunshine! At the very least, the weather is always a conversation starter… people either love it or hate it and everyone will have an opinion. So, we would like to know if you are going to be making the most of the heatwave by being present in the office or if you think that a few days off in the beer garden will help you to achieve those targets?#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #Heatwave #HotHotHot

Will those with children be working reduced hours in order to spend some quality time with their families? This seems to be likely so, this week it will be extremely important to make contact and find out a few things…

  1. If your client is going to be out of the office, establish if they mean they’re going to the warm, sandy beaches of the Mediterranean or if they are working remotely from their home office. This will make a difference if you are calling/emailing them.
  2. Is there someone who takes over whilst your client is away? Often, a business partner or another manager will take over therefore, it is important for you to establish who that person is and make introductions before your client is away.
  3. Is there a need for your product/service given the time of year now? August and September can divide opinions in terms of whether these are ‘busy’ months. For example, you wouldn’t be pitching wellington boots over flip-flops in 28-degree heat! (No smart remarks needed here please.)
  4. Information sharing. Make sure notes are left on databases etc so that you do not run the risk of having colleagues call your prospect on their personal number 5 times a day when you know they are enjoying the great British summer time with their little ones and you have a call scheduled for a particular date/time.
  5. Create urgency!! Times like this are great for creating an urgency along with a fear of loss etc. If your client is going to be away for the next 6 weeks, then surely now is the time for them to commit to the deal?! They don’t want to deal with things leftover from July in September! Also, from a sales prospective, you need to make hay whilst the sun shines and not let these clients go cold! Time kills deals

The list could go on and on however, we believe these are some solid points to remember as some clients may begin to slow down this week. If you have any other points that in your experience, you believe to be as important if not more important then please do share your input with us!#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #SummerHolidays #SchoolsOutForTheSummer

Ducks in a row!
July 11, 2018

#WednesdayWisdom has got Zest 2 Recruitment HQ thinking this morning about the importance of having your ducks in a row. Now, we don’t mean literal ducks! If you have ducks, then trying to get them all to stay in a line would be difficult we feel. We’re talking about having things in order! The Cambridge Dictionary states this term means ‘to be well organised or well prepared for something that is going to happen.’ How many of us are able to forecast eventualities and then plan for them whilst keeping calm and collected? This is a vital skill in business. Things will happen. Things will go wrong at some point. The most crucial factor isn’t the situation itself… it’s how you deal with the situation. We all know that worrying and procrastinating is as effective as trying to solve algebra by chewing bubble-gum so sitting in the office, waiting for the problem to knock on the door is not going to help you much. However, if you spend the time you have before the unavoidable circumstance happens then you can put yourself in a better position. By being prepared and organised, having everything you need and having sought advice, you can remain calm and collected safe in the knowledge that you have done everything you should have.Remember, ducks also look like the are gliding seamlessly through the waters whilst they are actually paddling like crazy beneath the surface. That is probably another similarity to anyone involved in business! In conclusion then, a lot can be learnt from ducks! Hold on… that wasn’t the point, even if it is true.We would be interested to hear your thoughts or hear any examples of a time when you did (or didn’t!) have your ducks in a row.#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #Blogs #DucksInARow #Beaky

It’s the will, not the skill!
July 9, 2018

Monday is upon us again and we’re wondering how many of you woke up and thought about the day in either of the below directions

  1. I am willing to give everything I have today, I am determined to have a productive day.
  2. I am very skilled at what I do and it’s Monday, so it doesn’t matter if I have a slow start.

We began thinking about this and wondered if complacency comes into play more when someone is considered to be highly skilled and experienced… whereas on the other hand, someone who is new to something tends to be far more willing to learn, listen and implement advice which leads them to results.People can be taught the skill of something, like selling for example, there must be thousands of techniques and tips out there when it comes to closing a deal! Equally, some people can exhibit a natural ability towards something they may not have done previously. However, we believe it always comes down to whether or not somebody actually wants to do it. You could be the best sales person in the world although, if you don’t want to pitch any prospects your product or service, then you aren’t going to get very far!BUT… if you are willing and determined to keep plugging away and continue to pitch prospects as much as possible then you will have results returned to you, irrespective of how ‘skilled’ you are in the art of persuasion. Therefore, it seems simple enough and fair to say that… It’s the will, not the skill!#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #ItsTheWillNotTheSkill #MondayMotivation

Are you a serial closer?
July 6, 2018

This is something I have heard many times over the years and it makes me laugh every time.Albeit a cheesy line, you must think if someone is making such a bold statement, there must be some truth in it, or you would like to think so…So, what makes someone a ‘serial closer?’Is it someone who is closing business on a day to day basis?Or, is it a person that just does it even out of work, just a natural thing that is done without thinking?I think I should leave this answer to all you well-rounded sales experts in the field…#Zest2Rec #SerialCloser #RajNasta #Recruitment

It’s Coming Home!
July 4, 2018

In keeping with tradition, it would be sacrilege for us to not dedicate today's blog to the England vs Columbia football match that was nail-biting to say the least!Against the odds, intensity and pressure… the England team dug deep and pulled in a victory at the very last moment by scoring the last phenomenal penalty. Is there something us sales professionals can learn from them?We think so.Much like an important football game, sales can also be a roller-coaster of highs and lows along with praise and criticism. Everyone likes to talk about the victories and the great moments such as the amazing save from Jordan Pickford or the pitch-perfect close from the top sales person! However, how many people consider the not so glamorous aspects? To be a winner or a key player in a winning team, it takes some tenacious traits which cannot be taught. You need to have determination… real determination! You must remain focused on the goal (perfectly placed pun!) and not allow yourself to start doubting the outcome because things are getting tricky. You must all stay on the same team and avoid getting caught up in blaming team-mates, nothing productive comes of it and it doesn’t produce results. Most importantly though… you have to dig deep and keep going! You never know how close you might be… perhaps only one penalty away from winning or one call away from closing the deal that makes history! So, in conclusion, there are lessons that can be learnt from the England squad (who’d have thought it!) but let’s not stray from what is truly important here… IT’S COMING HOME!#Zest2Rec #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment #Blogs #RecruitmentBlogs #ItsComingHome #Football #WorldCup #England #EnglandVsColumbia #Sales

Sell with high tempo!
June 29, 2018

Being able to sell with high tempo is something that unfortunately, many Sales Professionals lack!It is vital to have pace when selling, particularly over the phone. You have all heard the saying 99% enthusiasm and 1% ability! This is so true and if you have more than 1% ability… you are going to succeed. The same rule applies to selling with tempo, as you will only achieve more! Let’s look at the facts a little…If I were to make 50 calls a day but my colleague was to make 100 calls a day, this simply gives them twice the probability of closing more deals! With that being said, we shall save the point of the quality of the calls for another blog…#Zest2Rec #HighTempo #Sell #Sales #RajNasta #Recruitment

Honesty is the best policy!
June 27, 2018

‘Honesty is the best policy’ is a very tentative subject! Especially when selling products or services as you do need to highlight the benefits of your product however, at what cost?...So many Sales Professionals think too much about the target they need to achieve therefore, leading them to be swayed into mis-selling.The facts are the facts! If they are presented in the right way and will potentially benefit the customer, then it should be simple enough to close the sale! However, if something is sold in a dishonest fashion… it only results in a train wreck. There should never be a need to be dishonest when selling… don’t you agree?#Zest2Rec #HonestyIsTheBestPolicy #RajNasta #Recruitment

Britain set to bake!
June 25, 2018

The weather today, and the promise of heatwaves over the next week or so, has definitely given us our #MondayMotivation at Zest 2 Recruitment. The overall chirpiness of our candidates, clients and even neighbours has been somewhat brighter than if it were a grey and grizzly Monday which got us thinking… should we all be making hay whilst the sun shines? (Pardon the pun!)As there is a noticeable difference in us Brits mood because of all these UV’s, then surely it should be a great time to capitalise on sales. Naturally in Britain, we tend to be in better spirits whilst the weather is warm (probably because it doesn’t happen often!) and when is there a better time to close a deal than when your prospects are happy?!Be mindful that lots of people will ultimately try and escape the office early come Friday afternoon in favour of a beer garden to soak up some Vitamin D so make sure every call and pitch that’s made is as scorching as the sun!Have a momentous week everyone, and don’t forget the factor 50…#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #MondayMotivation #BritainSetToBake #Heatwave

Friday or Monday…
June 22, 2018

There have been lots of times already this Friday, and most other Fridays, that we hear people say ‘That can wait until Monday…’Why? Why would you put off or delay a task until Monday when it can be done on a Friday ahead of the weekend? Surely it feels better to leave the office at 5pm (or earlier for some!) knowing that all important tasks have been dealt with, your work space is tidy, and you are organised for Monday. That should allow you to enjoy the weekend without something hanging over your head and mean that you can come straight into the office prepared and raring to go at the start of a new week. One of the ultimate mistakes employees can make is slowing down past lunchtime on a Friday and not even entering second gear until Monday afternoon. The hours wasted would be equivalent to an extra working day! Imagine the results you could achieve!Nobody likes the realisation of the weekend ending and having the dreaded Sunday evening slump however, perhaps if you were walking into the office with a ticked-off to-do list then you may have more motivation to make the most of the day.Remember… a productive Monday often equals a productive week!#Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment #Zest2Rec #FridayFeeling #GetItDone #ItsNotOverUntilItsOver

Getting yourself to work!
June 20, 2018

If you are being picked up by a work colleague daily, what happens when you are both late?Who is to blame… the driver? The person being collected? O, perhaps even both?As an employer, should you just accept that if one employee is late, they both will be! This is something that must constantly come up within organisations.I appreciate we are all trying to save money and be more environmentally friendly so it’s a positive idea to encourage car sharing however, at what cost?Do you just agree that each person needs to get themselves to work on time even if it means a higher cost element for them?Which is it…#Zest2Rec #LateForWork #RajNasta #Recruitment #Zest2Recruitment

Pulling yourself out of a hole!
June 18, 2018

We all have been in positions where we think everything is going forward as planned and nothing could hinder it!Then one morning you wake up to a drastic change in your life…But the main question remains, are you going to allow these sudden changes to destroy your life and let it bring you down or, do you fight against it?Life is full of surprises and we all need to adapt to new changes. You cannot change what you have done in the past, however what you decide to do from today is up to you…#Zest2Rec #ChangeTheFuture #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment

All that glistens is not gold…
June 15, 2018

We’ve been thinking a lot lately about appearances, not how to improve our own, but whether first impressions from somebody’s appearance are still as pivotal as they used to be.There seems to be a lot of articles emerging regarding the way professionals now dress and look overall and with our everchanging society, there are divides in opinions.Should professionals still be expected to dress in ‘business attire’ or, is this now becoming a thing of the past with such big brands such as Facebook and Google adopting a more laid-back culture and allowing a casual dress code.Does a suit define you or your skills?Of course, in certain situations, business attire can be favourable. However, in the modern world of day to day work… surely an individuals productivity should be measured by results and not whether they prefer to work in jeans and a t-shirt.What are your thoughts? Don’t be shy, please come forward and let us know whether you embrace a power suit or flip-flops!#Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment #Zest2Rec #AllThatGlistensIsNotGold #WearIt #WorkIt

The cracks that appear in the mirror!
June 13, 2018

Do you look in the ‘mirror’ before you leave for work? Are you totally happy with what you see, or do you ‘read’ into it too much?If you do, then you may start to believe what is in front of you!It is quite simple in my humble opinion, only believe in what you know and not what you think you see.Everyone reads into things differently, yet only few can ‘read’ between the cracks…#Zest2Rec #CracksInTheMirror #RajNasta #Recruitment #Zest2Recruitment

Where there is shouting, there is no true knowledge!
June 11, 2018

The quote ‘Where there is shouting, there is no true knowledge’ by the great Leonardo Da Vinci, has got us thinking this Monday at Zest 2 Recruitment HQ…As a Director, Manager or even a Team Leader… does shouting get the best results from your team? Many employees can probably remember a time they had the pleasure (or not!) of working with a senior member of staff who likes to get their point heard by raising their voice, particularly within a sales environment! However, does this work? Or does it make individuals switch off to you?Perhaps instead of shouting and becoming agitated with poor performances, being able to offer some ideas of how to improve results as well as some constructive criticism could be a more effective way of motivating staff and lifting spirits… which would ultimately lead people to their own successes.Shouting above everyone else does not necessarily encourage people to work harder or mean that your opinion has the most value… if what you have to say is knowledgeable, constructive, supportive and encouraging then this can be done in a whisper! We would be keen to find out your thoughts… (and please do feel free to share your stories of monstrous managers, past and present!)#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #Sales #Shouting #MondayMotivation

Get yourself motivated before work!
June 8, 2018

What do you do before work to get yourself pumped up?We hear of lots of people that go to the gym for a gentle run or swim and some people blast out the gangster rap on the train into the city!Whatever it is, it is extremely important to get yourself in the right zone. If you don’t already do this or cannot get yourself motivated before work, then you need to start by finding out what it is that gets you going…Then your entire day will start earlier, and pieces of the puzzle will start to join quicker. So, if you haven’t done this up to now, start immediately! If nothing gets you going because your job simply sucks, then call Zest 2 Recruitment now for new opportunities!#Zest2Rec #Motivated #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment

Live in the moment!
June 6, 2018

You have probably heard very similar sayings to the above! It is a very true statement, as so many times we don’t relish when things are going well. The World is full of negative people who try and see only the pitfalls in life.I do understand that it is good to reflect your failures as this makes you grow and allows you to do things correctly however, make sure when achieve something great, you take the time to acknowledge what you have accomplished! If you don’t, do you think others will? Probably not…#Zest2Rec #LiveInTheMoment #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment

Happy Monday!
June 4, 2018

It is a new week and the first full working week of the new month, so it is time to prepare your much-needed phones calls! The phone won’t pick up itself as I have said many times before however, before you do, think about the following…

  1. Plan your opening statement – it must have a meaning to the client.
  2. Don’t talk to much about trivial things, have a purpose for the call.
  3. Ensure you know all about the product or service you are selling.
  4. Ask decent open questions and have control throughout the call.
  5. Whatever you do, do not be afraid to ask for the business.

Just remember the worst thing that can happen is the client says ‘NO!’If you are dreading making those calls because you have lost faith in the company and/or product then give Zest 2 Recruitment a call now and let us help you get back to awesome!#Zest2Recruitment #Zest2Rec #Recruitment #HappyMonday #PhoneLionOrPhoneMonkey

1st June!
June 1, 2018

It is officially the beginning of Summer and the start of what should be a cracking month! However, each month is what you decide to make it…I would like you to be totally honest with yourself and see if you are ready? Will you sit back and put your feet up or take the challenge and throw yourself into it with full throttle.Whatever you decide to do, remember at the end of the month and second quarter of the year, the only person you can blame when it all falls apart is you!Take ownership now and not next week or the week after as everyday that goes by, could be a day that brings you closer to your goal…#Zest2Rec #1stJune #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment

It’s too cold in the office!
May 30, 2018

Should heating really be turned on in this weather? That said, in a few days it will be the start of summer.I understand it may not feel like it early in the mornings, however maybe a little extra clothing would help. So, should we as business owners allow heating to be on at this time of the year?Or, just get your team to man up and deal with it…#Zest2Rec #ManUp #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment

I am a Superhuman!
May 28, 2018

Well, we all like to think we are Superhuman and can party all weekend! Maybe this is the case sometimes, although your body does start to say ‘NO!’At this point you need to start making some life decisions as to how hard you hit it whilst being off…Think about the following:How long do you think it will take your body to recover, take that time and then double it! If you are on your second night, maybe treble it… you get the theme I hope. You’re in control of your own actions, so act today and don’t make excuses anymore…#Zest2Rec #SuperHuman #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment #DrinkAllDayPartyAllNight

Battle of Wills!
May 23, 2018

This is always a fun subject to talk about as everyone likes to have airtime, however at what cost?It can almost get to a point whereby you know you may as well agree to disagree, or do you keep the battle going.I suppose if you are emotionally involved then it is hard to take a step back, having said that if you take your personal feelings out of the conversation, this will enable you to make pragmatic decisions. So, when you next have a battle of wills, do you have this conversation with or without emotion?#Zest2Rec #BattleOfWills #RajNasta #Zest2Recruitment #Recruitment
